Fabriqu\u00e9s de mani\u00e8re traditionnelle, ils sont arrang\u00e9s en compositions florales color\u00e9es et servent de cadeaux pour les invit\u00e9s ou d&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e9ments de d\u00e9coration lors de bapt\u00eames, de rentr\u00e9es scolaires ou d&rsquo;anniversaires. Les confettis sont particuli\u00e8rement appr\u00e9ci\u00e9s pour les mariages, raison pour laquelle ils sont \u00e9galement connus sous le nom d&rsquo;amandes de mariage.<\/p>\n<p>En Italie, les confettis b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient d&rsquo;une longue tradition. Certaines sources remontent jusqu&rsquo;au XVe si\u00e8cle, \u00e0 l&rsquo;ordre des Clarisses, ou au monast\u00e8re Santa Chiara. Les religieuses cr\u00e9aient \u00e0 partir de ces drag\u00e9es de somptueux bouquets de fleurs pour l&rsquo;autel et des chapelets pour la pri\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>La ville abruzzienne de Sulmona est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme le berceau des confettis multicolores. Ici, l&rsquo;entreprise familiale William di Carlo fabrique depuis 1833, dans de grandes cuves en cuivre (\u00abBassine\u00bb), ces all\u00e9chantes amandes sucr\u00e9es.
