D&rsquo;une part, cela s&rsquo;explique par le fait que l&rsquo;orthographe allemande a \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u00e9g\u00e8rement adapt\u00e9e. D&rsquo;autre part, les formes diff\u00e8rent : alors que les Makkaroni allemands sont des p\u00e2tes longues creuses avec un diam\u00e8tre d&rsquo;environ 0,5 cm, les Maccheroni italiens sont des p\u00e2tes courtes qui peuvent avoir un diam\u00e8tre de 1 cm. Cependant, nous allons nous concentrer uniquement sur les Maccheroni italiens. Du moins, le g\u00e9ographe, botaniste et auteur Al-Idrisi, qui avait \u00e9tudi\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Cordoue et qui vivait et travaillait \u00e0 la cour du roi normand Roger II, a d\u00e9crit en 1154 la pr\u00e9paration des <em>Maccaruni<\/em>. Leur origine du sud de l&rsquo;Italie, o\u00f9 la culture du bl\u00e9 dur (notamment en Pouilles) est tr\u00e8s r\u00e9pandue, influe sur leur pr\u00e9paration sans oeuf.
