Le fleuve Tibre le traverse pour finalement se jeter dans la mer Tyrrh\u00e9nienne. La r\u00e9gion tire son nom de la tribu des Latins, qui s&rsquo;\u00e9tait install\u00e9e l\u00e0 d\u00e8s le 6\u00e8me si\u00e8cle av. J.-C. L&rsquo;auteur romain Virgile, cependant, voyant l&rsquo;origine des Romains dans le Troyen Aeneas exil\u00e9, appelle le beau-p\u00e8re d&rsquo;Aeneas, qui \u00e9tait le roi de la r\u00e9gion plus tard connue sous le nom de Rome, Latinum. Le territoire original du <strong>Latium<\/strong> \u00e9tait bien plus petit que celui d&rsquo;aujourd&rsquo;hui, ne comprenant que la zone entre le Tibre, les montagnes Sabines, Sinuessa (l\u2019actuel Mondragone) et la mer Tyrrh\u00e9nienne. Le Latium a successivement fait partie de l&rsquo;Empire Romain, du royaume des Ostrogoths, de l&rsquo;Empire Byzantin, a \u00e9t\u00e9 un fief pour le pape, puis int\u00e9gr\u00e9 au Royaume d&rsquo;Italie, est devenu ind\u00e9pendant et, apr\u00e8s la conqu\u00eate par Napol\u00e9on, a \u00e9t\u00e9 annex\u00e9 par la France. Par la suite, le Latium est redevenu une partie du Royaume d&rsquo;Italie et, depuis 1947, est une r\u00e9gion administrative de la R\u00e9publique Italienne.<br \/>\nEncore aujourd&rsquo;hui, des constructions telles que le Colis\u00e9e ou les nombreux ob\u00e9lisques t\u00e9moignent de la puissance mondiale et de la richesse culturelle de cette \u00e9poque.<\/p>\n<h3>Sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9s culinaires du Latium<\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1814\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1814\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1814\" title=\"\u00c9glise Saint-Pierre du Latium\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/latium_peterskirche.jpg\" alt=\"\u00c9glise Saint-Pierre\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1814\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">\u00c9glise Saint-Pierre<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Certaines sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9s comme le Pecorino romano ont perdur\u00e9 dans le menu des Italiens depuis l&rsquo;\u00e9poque romaine. Ce d\u00e9licieux fromage de brebis \u00e9tait attribu\u00e9 comme ration aux l\u00e9gionnaires romains. De l\u00e0, il a entam\u00e9 sa marche triomphale \u00e0 travers toute l&rsquo;Italie, menant \u00e0 <a title=\"Variantes du Pecorino\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gustini.de\/index.php?auswahl=shopseite&amp;rubrik1=Suche&amp;rubrik2=pecorino\">de nombreuses variantes r\u00e9gionales<\/a> du fromage de brebis classique en dehors du <strong>Latium<\/strong>. Parmi les autres d\u00e9licieux plats, il y a les Spaghetti alla carbonara, les Penne <a title=\"Sugo all'arrabiata\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gustini.de\/index.php?auswahl=shopseite&amp;rubrik1=Suche&amp;rubrik2=arrabiata\">all\u2019arrabiata<\/a> ou la Stracciatella alla romana, une soupe agr\u00e9ment\u00e9e de flocons d&rsquo;oeuf. Dans les montagnes du Latium, la culture de l&rsquo;olive joue un r\u00f4le important. \u00c0 la Frantoio Quattrociocchi, d&rsquo;excellentes huiles d&rsquo;olive sont press\u00e9es, certaines en <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gustini.de\/index.php?auswahl=shopseite&amp;rubrik1=Suche&amp;rubrik2=olivenoel+bio\">qualit\u00e9 bio<\/a>. Les <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gustini.de\/index.php?auswahl=shopseite&amp;rubrik1=Suche&amp;rubrik2=aromatisierte+olivenoele\">huiles d&rsquo;olive aromatis\u00e9es<\/a>, obtenues par le pressage simultan\u00e9 des olives avec des ingr\u00e9dients aromatiques, font \u00e9galement partie de leur assortiment. Les vari\u00e9t\u00e9s d&rsquo;olives les plus cultiv\u00e9es dans le Latium sont la Carboncella, la Canino, l&rsquo;Itrana, le Leccino, la Raja et la Rosciola.
